I kind of want a long board for this purpose, but compared to a regular board, I feel like my feet are sunk in concrete trying to turn.
But long boards are generally smoother and faster.

I need a compromise.

Zip Zinger?

Zip Zinger?

I'm confused...there's like no information other than youtube vidyas on the Zip Zinger.

Since everyone keeps specifically referring to it as the "Zip Zinger" I'd assume it has some kinda fancy features, but it just looks like a good mid-sized board...?
Well, anyway, it looks cool. I like the tail.
I've been looking into getting a larger board...but not seriously enough to actually buy one 'cause I don't ride super often anymore. But still, it'd be nice, you know? Mine is a 47" Gravity, but it's still just 8.75" wide...
I bought their 30" pool model 'cause it looks awesome but man, it was just way too short for me. I could barely stay on that thing. I ended up giving it to my dad.
I mostly need a wider board, but slightly longer wouldn't hurt. Also, the flatter the better. Any recommendations?

depending on if i start longboarding after the cast comes off, i might sell my Original Apex 37. fucking sick board, and it's unbelievably light thanks to a carbon fiber strip. i paid 300 for it, but it's ridiculous. my friend likes it more than his Loaded, which is an overrated company anyway. he actually just bought a LandYacht which he prefers to the Loaded, and it's a little over half the price. the landyacht is a little different and it takes some time to get used to, but my friends swear by them. as for me, i love Original as a company. they have some sick boards, including the hybrid which has a surf tail so it's supposed to be more surf oriented. they've got something for everyone, and asides from the Apex 37, they're pretty reasonable. idk how you're gonna find something bigger than 47" tho.

Tv guide told me I was watching and SNL related show and I watched 15 minutes of a rehab show waiting for the punch line.

EDIT:
Also, there is just something about the epiphone headstock that, unless it's on a casino or something, infuriates me to no end.

Thinking of making my affinity J bass fretless.
I know you need to heat the frets, gently pull them out and then fill the slots with epoxy,

Anyone have any exprience with this type of job?

Also: I imagine I will want to upgrade the pickups while I have it torn apart anyone try the GFS pickups on a J?

yes, you should make "fillets" out of maple veneer so they are good wood and easy to see. then you finish sand your fretboard. now is a good time to use a straight edge and radius gauges to fix anything thats not perfect. then you use the thor epoxy. some people just use fillets and no epoxy. as long as the fillets dont fall out. its the same glue for fillets that you use for fret ends. some people use super glue or crazy glue. some use hyde glue. some use epoxy.

OK that is a crazy sight, they do great work,

Didn't think about maple vaneers, I was just going to fill the grooves with black epoxy,
Is it more of a tone difference or aesthetics?

I cant say that i have any experience doing it myself but my guess is that the tone and visibility of maple is preferrable to black plastic on rosewood.

don't really care about the visibility but tone is an issue

I think I'm going to become a Tokai effects fanboy considering they stopped production around '85, but they're pedals all sound great, are rather sturdy and have little demand and therefore, lower pricing than other vintage effects. Hopefully I can get my hands on at least a chorus to go with my flanger, even more points for a delay.

I've got three Ebay actions going on over the next three days over three pedals: A vox Clyde McCoy wah, a Tokai TCH-1 stereo chorus, a Tokai TDL-1 Analog Delay.

Nothing like bidding on pedals with what little money you have left and certainly should not be spending.
