Look, I love Tool, but this is stupid. It's really easy to create alternate track orders that "flow" to the golden ratio or whatever when every goddamn song you write is in D minor.

Fucking this. Fucking this. Thank you.
I play.

Gonna stand by the message in my drunk post, if not the spelling and grammar.

What Derelict78 said - yeah, everything can be measured, tagged, expressed and exalted by numbers. Why not emotions, :?: what is so special in emotions anyway, compared to anything else?

You can't quantify my emotions, man.

You just can't.

My pain is so deep that it is a bottomless chasm that defies numbering and I can only escape by listening to the Backstreet Boys.

42, divided by the days of the week, equals six. I have six fuzz pedals in the chain. That means I am one with everything.

Am I doing it right?

 oh that... but that's the regular Emo, so 97.4, right?
:p

You know... when I did stage hand local crew gigs (foreign bands load in + building + tech runner + load-out and off to the bar, basicly for who ever was in Finland), I once worked for even  the Backstreet Boys crew, in '97 or '98. Threadjacking anocdote in NSFW, no tits in there, sorry.
NSFW: show
Their crew actually hated the band, too, so it was rather entertaining, hard to concentrate at times on connecting the cables and testing shit for laughing. The front of house mixer particularly was a figure.

He had been apparently so chastised by the tour manager for hating the group too openly that he smiled and bopped his head and hummed the hit song chorus and acted all the time as if he was an enthusiastic fan and enjoyed the gig thoroughly - that is, if the manager was anywhere to be seen. Otherwise he was as morose and sour as anybody else. Catchy as fuck as that was, and since it wasn't that big deal for us anyway - one night only with the Boys :D - we quickly picked that up. Besides a joint or two were being passed around resulting in a plenty of shit and giggles.

So, later the mentioned road manager enters the maintenance hall to take the band through our work space to the boys' dressing rooms. He takes himself a peak from the door if the road is clear and everybody's behaving. And he sees a half dozen bikers look alikes doing a mock boy band dance and shit, inspired by the FOH mixer. Gave us a stern look and we had to take it out before the laughing fit took over. But his face! Priceless!

In a way one of the funniest gigs I did, just because everybody was on SO wrong gig

So then your pain goes on and on much like the golden spiral?

You've been numbered.

Golden shower of love more likely!

You've been numbered.

I have been, and once I examine the number, doesn't matter what it is, it's my obligation as a modern occultist with an internet connection to construct a Qaballah that illustrates that I am the new prophet and magus of the Age.

Oh, and aliens. Because aliens are important. Yay aliens.

Yeah, ever since 2000 every reference to the Nefilim seems to come up with that. :wha?:

Hold right there a second.

I can get a quick commentary with my faux Germer typewriter font up in a second that will make it mean anything I want.
