I hope Skyrim supports mods more smoothly than Oblivion.

That and the melee combat isn't slash - block and wait for the hit - slash - block tedium.
And no scaled loot, holy crap, or at least modify it.

Are you talking about a Zvex Machine? Because I feel I should save you three hundred bucks and tell you to get something else.
(or a clone for less than half that)

Game I'm most looking forward to?

lol. man, FUCK Zvex. they're complete poo. naw, the local to me awesome pedal store stocks a bunch of Zv'z.

i'm talking about the Native Instruments Maschine. thing is a BEAST. it's a stripped down but quicker interface for a bunch of NI's soft sampler/library stuff with a MIDI hardware piece that works like a drum machine. verrrrrrrrrrrrry cool idea. gonna have enough scrapple tomorrow i think. WOOT.

and yeah, Rage looks the SHIT.

hurm. so.... what percentage of the Vidder Geeks are using PC/360/PS3?

I'm a PC guy... mainly because I don't have the money to buy anything else and I get PC parts cheap like hell via my school... so I can always play teh newest shiz ya know...

Also- I'm a total programmer nerd and spend 6 hours a day scripting shit on the pc soo.. yeah.. I'm not a fan of controllers.. I have a joystick for my pc but prefer keyboard oriented games...

I'm a PC gamer at heart.
I played consoles for a while in college because that's what my friends had, but I've since retuurned to my roots.

I've been rocking consoles since at least 1988. I've got a 360 and a Wii now. Play on the 360 probably 99% of the time. I will also play on some indie games on Steam via Mac if I only have a few minutes to kill as opposed to a few hours. I just prefer playing games on a 47" tv while sitting on the couch instead of a 27" iMac whilst sitting at the desk. I'm all about the comfy. Plus, I'm usually playing games that you guys traded in at Gamestop a year or two ago. For example: I am now working on the last half of Red Dead Redemption. After that I'll probably start hammering away at Oblivion again (got really inspired by that Skyrim footage! WOW!) It's just a lot friendlier on the wallet this way.

I will say that sites like Steam does make PC/Mac gaming a lot more attractive. I've played a few really fun/interesting games thanks to those Humble Indie Bundles.

woof. i WANT to like the PS3, i just hate the controllers, all my friends are on 360, my brother who we trade games back and forth went 360.........

i just picked up Resistance 3. fuck these loading times. fucking INSANE that you can buy a game on the day it's released, go home to play it and find out there's a patch you have to DL. just had to update the PS3, download a Resistance patch, AND wait about 20 minutes for it to copy stuff to the HDD. some BULLshit.

....... but it's ready to play so i'm gonna fuck off and do that for a bit.

For real man! Super excited about GW2, cautious about BF3.

I can't even play Guild Wars anymore, even though I've never beat any of the expansions, I've made so many characters and beaten the core game so many times that I'm just burned out. The game feels a bit dated at this point although I still appreciate its uniqueness among MMOs. Rollin' a necro again in GW2, hoping that it won't result in me pressing 1-3-1-3-1-3-1-3-1-3-5-8-1-3-1-3-1-3 for every battle and occasionally getting one-shotted at random.

Sucks that bots can do pretty much my entire job as minion master, even though I like MM...anyway, GW2 looks much improved.

Battlefield 1942 is what got me addicted to PC gaming. There's lots of good memories associated with that game. BF2 was disappointing...Bad Company 2 is entertaining with friends but it's not a "real" BF game. I'm really hoping BF3 isn't just Call Of Duty With Tanks. Playing the alpha seriously sketched me out though.

Yeah the new GW definitely looks much improved and I've been waiting for another game to play with friends.

As for bf3...It'll totally be more than CoD with tanks. Just the graphics alone are enough to make me want to play and I really couldn't care less about graphics 99% of the time. I prefer fucking sega genesis over most console games today anyway.
:oldrant:

Every trailer makes it look better and better, and the original battlefield is what made me play as well. Bad company 2 was a joke, wasn't horrible, but wasn't battlefield.

Oh and if whoever asked earlier couldn't tell, I'm a PC gamer, after switching from pc to xbox for years...I just prefer building and upgrading my own systems.
