Squire CV 50's tele and AC30
I got the best sound out of this combo yesterday. No pedals, just straight into a craked AC with a squire tele. I am a doom hound and I never thought this day would come. I want a fucking AC 30 and a Squire! Hahahaha. Fuck. School me on AC30's. What should I stay away from? What should I seek?

Tele > Vox is the reason we were put on this planet. Talk about music to my ears.
I pretty much like all the tube amps vox has put out to be honest.

Re: Squire CV 50's tele and AC30
ac30s are the bees knees. I've been rockin one of the older ac30CC1s for a while now and I love it. (I also rock a tele and they are the best combo)
The dirty sounds can get a bit muddy at times.. I think it sounds best set loud on the edge of breaking up with a good od or fuzz for dirt. It takes pedals well up front. I tried the fx loop once and it sounded like shit but I don't know if I was using it wrong or what.
I've heard that the newer ac30c1s (and c2, etc) are better but I tried one and I thought mine sounds better.. So try both out if you can I guess (sorry I know that's not very helpful)
One thing about the ac30cc models is that the rectifier tube seems to be a weak link. The rectifier tube has gone out once in mine but to be honest I abuse my amp it's actually sitting in the trunk of my car right now. Not sure if they fixed that issue on the newer models but it's not too bad on the older ones anyways.
I think my little brother has one of those Squier Teles you're talking about. The bridge pickup rocks!

I have an AC15c1 that I love, but the CC models are waaaay underrated, and they can be had used for mega cheap.

I love my AC15CC1!
You really can't go wrong with any kind of all-tube Vox. AC30s are gonna give you a bit of a thicker sound, but it's still that warm Vox chime

That's what I've been playing for a while too -- Squire CV -> Rangemaster -> cranked AC30
That's a great combination.

I kinda really want an AC30.
I wish they weren't 80 pounds/I had a car.

Damn, we all rock Teles and Vox. Keen. I've never been so happy with a combination, personally.
