What's that neck pickup? any good? I've been toying with the idea of a stacked bucker in the bridge. Maybe neck would be better?

It's a Seymour Duncan JB Jr, sounds pretty good, it's nice and fat as a contrast to the hot single coil in the bridge which is cool. I had it in the bridge for a while but I just couldn't deal with not having a single coil in the bridge and it sounds so much better in the neck.

Toronados vary a little bit since they were never that popular (and still aren't), i'd say $400-600.
I actually got mine here :thumb:

Ryan's jazzmaster is killer...I love the blackout look with the white binding, might have to look into something like that for myself

Those things look so awesome. Does the switching give you a decent single coil sound as well?

Thanks! :thumb:

The pickups are really great all around but I was afraid they would be it's downfall when I originally ordered. The HBs sound huge and mean but still very wide open.

The single coil settings are even better. There's two modes, standard and out-of-phase, the first fatter and chimey and the latter is more traditional Fender fare, twangy and bright. You can mix 'em any which way, shit ton of combinations that sound like an entirely different guitar every time. They're also very quiet with minimal volume drop so you don't have to boost or whatever to match output live, pretty consistent for a coil tapped HB.

I think it's probably the most versatile instrument I've owned, ever. Only upgrade it needed was some copper tape shielding on the pickguard to alleviate some static crackle nonsense, pretty easy fix guided by our own McSpunckle.
