I'm gonna send him a down payment regardless, startup costs or something...
And the Wizard, HOLY FUCK! Stoner rock dream amp right there. If I didn't rely on fuzz and OD/boost for my dirt, I'd be all about that fucker. The Vintage Wizard sounds like it should be equally cool.
Why dont anybody just make a single channel 100w head with only clean sound for all us fuzzbox mongos? It just have look cool and be clean. Only controls for treb mid bass & vol. I´d buy that shit.

I'd love that
I'm thinking Nick would build anything you wanted as long as it's possible.
I initially approached him with the idea for and Ampeg V4 style amp, maybe a mix and match deal with a V4 and the Metro. I've since set my sites on a KT88 Metro, not sure on all the details but he seems more than willing/capable of taking on custom ideas/requests.
Nick has an immense knowledge of electronics, enabling custom amp dreams to actualize. His prices are insanely fair too so you can actually obtain that amp.
Hacken wrote:Does Nick have a homepage or something like that and is "insanely fair" meaning like under 1500$?
Mine came in under $1500 and it's completely upgraded component-wise. Plus some custom options and his build quality looks top notch. Good prices!
Depends on exactly what you're after, of course, but you won't overpay. Nick's great to work with, super responsive and genuinely interested in what you need from the amp.
Yup I can build whatever you want long as its feasible.
100W, single channel clean amp is totally fine. Could just be the clean channel of the metro with KT88s, 3 band EQ I have a sweet tweak on the james/bax stack with Bass Treble, Mid Shift and Mids, Mid Shift has a 6 position center frequency with the ability to add 7 to 10 dBs via the Mid control. (No Mid Cutting), Simple as shit, V, B, T, MS, M, and a Master if you want. Probably still fall in the 1300 to 1500 range depending upon components, add ons blah blah.
The Homewrecker can come in a smaller output, theres a couple Class D output amps that can be used. 250 x 2. 500 x 2. 1000W x 2 outputs. Has a kool XLR output for silent, DI recordings. This is a hybrid amp, FYI.

I've got a late 60's Plush that does just that. It's for sale too. hint hint wink wink

I saw this picture of Hendrix, all he used was a wah.... And not even the Jim Dunlop Jimi Hedrix wah, just some old thing.....
Jimi didn't realise the horrible tone suck we had to listen to every time he used that wah.
