Awesome!! I remember a while back you saying something about the emitter diode being omitted from the circuit to make it a Melxowtone. Yes? If so, shouldn't I be able to make the kit and have a switch to go from electra to melxow? Just curious.

you would replace a certain resistor with a jumper in this case. it is possible to make it switchable, essentially it would be a gain switch

So are you planning on putting some sort of mellowtone sticker or something in it? And if so what size?

it'll be a simple small sticker, probably a solid vinyl durable sticker, something like this:

so you can still put some of yoru own decoration on or paint it a sweet color or something. so nothign fancy.

Awesome! I've go this small enclosure (ex amp chan switcher) that I'm going to put this in... If I like both the bass fuzz and Electra, I MAY get 2 unless there is a way to add switches to go from bass to Electra to melx? In which case that'd be the baddest fuzz around! :)

Perfect. I love the option of despite it being a BYOM (Build Your Own Mellowtone) and being able to add our own touch, we can also still have the uniform look of the Mellowtone range!

Oh, will there be instructions sufficient to help DIY n00bs like me add a switch and jumper it into an enclosure?

well, he did say he would take time to make out a manual, so i assume he'd include those fantastic details.
ps, i think this is a great idea. i'm pretty new to the whole diy groove but i'd be overjoyed to start a mellowtone fuzz project.

keep us updated :)
well i guess, but i just don't know.

This sounds pretty awesome. I'd definitely be interested. I've been trying to teach my GF to solder and this would be the perfect little starter kit.

So is there a set date for when these will be available to purchase? I know you said they'd be ready 2 months down the road... So right after we get the CChanDchan?

Color me interested. I've been looking at kits for awhile, and they are all so pricey, so this would perfect!
