I need another phaser. Love both my small stones, but I want another. Something different, but not like the phase90. I didn't like it much next to the SStones. Has anyone tried the DOD fx20?

I wasn't involved with the sales really.

It depends, I like the subtleness of the Phase 45 sometimes but if you want a Full swooshy phase sound then yeah, you're gunna want more stages.

Personally, i'm not hugely in to phase, it can be nice when used appropriatley though...

Modulation though, i'm all about Chorus & Flanger (which I know some people hate).

i loves teh chorus and teh flange. one thing i like about 12-stage flanging is that it's practically flanging...i believe that a lot of the guitar sound on the Slowdive records that folks think is flanging is actually Christian's TC XII on the 12-stage setting.

Putting my vote in for the Boss PH-3
Not vintage or anything but it sounds huge and I have ABd it with some old Phase 90's and Phase 100s and can get the exact same tones plus about a 100 more.

I keep mine in a feed back loop with a wolf CPU delay and Chorus and it does insane things, plus it has tap tempo which means you can go from slow swooshes to police sirens instantly, it makes my feed back loop! I might get a boss flanger with the same tap feature just so I can make more terrible noises,

You can get a PH-3 used for 50-60 bucks and I think they are well worth it.

You must purchase one and then jam it in a feedback loop with some dirt, it will change your life!
