Apparently...I'm gonna have to get on peoples cases more now. The AA giveaway is coming I just need to get a hold of Danny to send him the monies for it. What color do you think we should go with?

Arrived to me today... Just played with them a little so just superficially... The AA is very cool. The VTF I need more time to get my head round, except to say the setting Middle Earth Crisis left it on was ace!
ILF pedals: DE Eye of God, Mellowtone Wolf Computer, Mellowtone Singing Tree LE, Fuzzhugger Arc Flash Oscillator, DSc Miniberator, Mysterious J boost/cut/tremolo pedal

Awesome, I can' remember what setting I left it on but it was most likely on the heavy side.
I really found a lot of great sounds with the VTF and I'm not much of a tweaker (unless meth is involved).
I set it up in front of a Pharaoh and was able to get some pretty massive sounding fuzz.
The AA was great as a booster in front of other fuzz and would be tits for solos and leads.
I didn't open them up but from the outside they looked awesome. I love how the finish on top has a thick "bar glass" look to it.
They are also very clean and hypoallergenic, no matter where I put them or what I put in them, I came out rash and blister free. :yay:

Overall, I give them:
VTF- :)* :)* :)* :)* :)*
AA- :)* :)* :)* :)*

Heading to Tennessee :thumb:
So completely impressed by the VTF :!!!: I sort of got stuck in just one little area of sounds

Clean 5 'o clock, Tone 4, Magic off, Diode 1 left, Diode 2 right, Octave left, Filter left, Fuzz 3, Gain 12, Gate 1, Tone 2

On my small tube amp this was a great fuzzy overdrive, and then unbelievable rich filtery fuzz with the Magic switch engaged. Same thing on my Twin cranked sounds different again, with suboctaves in there. Amazing. A bit like the Wolf Computer but more cutting.
THen same as above but with Diode 1 right, Diode 2 left, and the Gate at 8 'o clock. One of many really great upper octave tones.

The AA sort of gets overshadowed I hate to say, but it's a great sounding pedal and a steal for a hundred bucks :omg: :thumb:

I'll try and post the clip I recorded soon...

So, the Spunckies spent the week with me. I really enjoyed the saturation of the AA at maxed gain. It cleans up nicely with the volume knob on the guitar too. At times I wish there was a bit more treble on the tone knob. The toggle on the side is awesome though. Adds a lot of variety and dimension to the pedal. I can see why this would be a hit with bassists. Love the low end. I'll be honest, at first I wasn't super impressed by the AA. I thought it was a solid OD, but with 4 other ODs in my arsenal (Rat, WIIO, Timmy, KoT clone, plus the whole in my heart ever since I sold my SHOD) I couldn't really see myself picking one up, but after really diving into it tonight I may have fallen in love. The price tag is definitely an attractive feature too.

I almost had the opposite experience with the Gnome. I immediately got some great tones from the Gnome, but had a difficult time finding my way back after exploring other settings. Soooo many knobs! It's also so flippin loud! I haven't been able to find out a way to simmer down on the volume without losing all the balls and fuzz. I'm going to do some studying in the Shark Tank to get a better understanding of all the controls. This thing is more complicated than Soul Caliber IV. I know this is a great fuzz. I just need to give it another day or two before I send it out, so I can crack this code. I know I can figure it out. After all I did end up mastering Soul Caliber IV. :thumb:
