I play with two guys the use TT amps, both get great sounds, one of them retired his 60's princetons when he got a TT 1X12 combo :idk: He hates the color though  keeps talking about rubbing brown shoe polish on it

Yep. I hope Orange cuts this shit out.
I had a Tiny Terror for a while, and honestly, they're pretty good cranked.
They also take pedals pretty well, and are kinda fun.

This dark terror thing is pretty silly though. It sounds too fizzy to be used to for anything anyway.

Is it just me or did that guy's voice have more low end than that amp.

For a surprisingly good class A tone just pick up an Epiphone Valve Jr and crank it through a decent sized 2x10 or 2x12 or 4x12 cab.

It's tewbz, yo. It's best to only have the wattage you need so you can drive the power section a bit. Personally, I find 15 to be too much like 80% of the time. Even with just a 1x12. :idk:

This one just looks like they added another preamp stage to the TT. :idk:

Tiny Terrors are sweet, though.

-edit-

Looks like they changed the tone stack to basically a scoop control, too. That explains why it sounds kinda thin.

The low watt tube amp has been quite the craze the last couple years and the TT really is one of the better examples. I've found it doesn't take much, in terms of wattage, to result in some serious volume.

That said, I still rely on amps no less than 50 watts through a pair of 2x12s. Those little guys just don't put forth enough in a band setting. I need something that moves a bit more air. Cool idea/trend though.

If You want to seriously injure Your hearing, try 15 watts higain amp as a nice preamp for Terror Bass 1000w. :idk:  But it's tad expensive, to be used as a distortion device.

Other than that, in general, I like Oranges. MMmmmmmmm... Oranges... Doesn't come with many extra features or any over the top sound sculpting, really, but I'd promote them for having pretty kick ass basic sounds. Haven't got one myself but they seem to work just great with my gear when I've used them. Affordable and all. Seems to be pretty reliable, too.

Way better in my book than , say, Marshall of Fender. :duck:

For $50 less I would still get the Tiny Terror in that amp category. The voicing doesn't strike me as an improvement over the TT. Still like it better than the Vox Night Train, and I haven't gotten a chance to try a Mesa Mini Rec yet.

As always, Chappers does a pretty good demo of this.

Still kind of sounds a bit fizzy to me, but it sounds WAY better here.
I'm still not sold, but that's because I think I like every other Orange there is a million times more.

These guys are also all waaayyy better players than that annoying guy Orange is using right now. Chappers used to actually be Orange's demo guy and made some sweet videos with them.

Way better... i actually kinda like it :)

Orange makes some great amps, but their ignorance to effect loops is just outraging. I'm of course speaking of AD30 and Rocker amps... one just has to buy that Rockerverb

I dunno man...I never turn my gain up past noon even when playing teh metulz. I never understood the whole MOAR GAIN trend in that respect. Whenever you crank that shit, it just gets mushy and looses it's punch.

It's for solos, when you don't have enough gain the solo notes sound kinda wimpy, but with alo of gain they sustain more and sound better. Although I use two pedals for solos, a dist. and a fuzz. and then a volume boost to put it over the top, that is teh way to go. But I do understand the too much gain thign to.

I figured that's what boosters were for? maybe I'm just not hip anymore...
