I want to build a Rat for myself.
Which kits are you guys liking? BYOC? GGG? Others?
Curious. The BYOC is appealing because of all the different modes.
Def. looking for the older 308 sound.

BYOC is the best kit maker out there, I think. And their Rat project is the most comprehensive in terms of mods (and has the best documentation by FAR). But I've found that, at least for me, when I have 20 options for something like a dirt box, I end up using one or two 99% of the time.
But I guess if you play a ton of gigs in vastly different sizes and types of venues, it would be good to have all that the BYOC can do.

Yeah, that's the same for me. I do a lot of recording with other bands though, so I was thinking having all those other options might be fun in the studio.
I mostly want that compressed feel of the original (which I have).

You could also mod the shit of an existing Rat.
