Time and gut shots will tell... I was wrong on the Memory Man w/ tap tempo when I didn't think they'd use 3005s... then I was kinda right as they had to stop doing that due to fakes.
It's pretty easy to internally change the voltage.
I have some chips here that take 5VDC and bump it to a bipolar 12VDC without any extra components.
Why this stuff isn't used in pedals, I'll never know.
