Okay, "the Hugger" is a great name to describe the way it can hug pedals with two great (switchable) gain stages, but the name has caused confusion from the start.
1) It's been called "the FuzzHugger"...and sure, it's great for pushing certain fuzz pedals, but it's a booster, a pedal awakener, can add a master volume to pedals, etc.
2) It prevented us from embracing the name FuzzHugger(fx) for our fear of the title: "the FuzzHugger Hugger."
Or worse, the FuzzHugger FuzzHugger! That's just silly.SO! What's coming is the definitive version of the pedal, with a name that tips its hat to its heritage, but fits much better...and hopefully, with time, will end the name confusion.
The Bear Hug Boost.
Three footswitches...one for each boost stage and one for the true-bypass loop between them! The best control setup there is for the design.
