Uk enclosures?

Post by Nocentelli »

I'm building a small batch of fuzz and some other pedals, a few that I said i'd do for mates, a couple for myself, and a couple to sell to offset my costs. I'm looking for enclosures in the UK that are a bit more interesting: I need 1590Bs, 125Bs, and 15900BBs, though I'm also interested in any other shapes/sizes/designs as long as they've got similar capacities. It seems that you can get the bare ones quite cheap (i like my bare boxes, but I want something a bit classier for friends/selling. Now, it seems even a plain black 1590BB is at least £9-10 from uk suppliers for under 10 or 25 pieces, and that's before shipping... For that sort of money, it makes sense to either a) get it from the states where mammoth etc do all sorts of colours and even do pre-drilling for not much more than uk suppliers or b) get a bucketload of plain ones over here for 3/4 quid each and get a batch coated/painted/finished over here and sell to UK DIY'es for recoup the costs.... I've got a couple of pricey ones ordered from the states for my own personal use and might fancy getting them finished at the same time. I'm also looking into "hammerite-ing" a bunch of plain boxes myself at home.

If anyone has a knows of a decent supplier over here, or has advice on getting a batch custom finished or ordering a larger custom order, or hammerite finishing pedals, or fancies getting involved in getting a custom batch made, please add on. Thanks.

That's one of the cheapest suppliers here in Europe I know:

idk how much the shipping is in the UK but it's pretty cheap in austria.

i buy from Rapid or RS and get them powdercoated locally, and the screenprinted ones printed locally also.
shop around different local powdercoating firms for a good price, i go with a firm that seems to just do car stuff (wheels, engines, etc), motorbike and bike stuff.
