Take a dig at boutique, yet support the most expensive and dorky looking instruments. I'd rather play a late 80's Kramer.

that really is a peculiar statement considering that i've seen more love for oddball, bizarrely configured, strangely modded, bastardized, and just plain cheap guitars here than just about any other guitar forum i can think of. trippin' tonight much? :idk:

every time someone disagrees with a statement or points out that it's silly, it's not "hate." people are allowed to disagree. this isn't "1984."

no, its just that i've been noticing some trends that exclude some schtuff. its not everyone of course, i just find it weird that "weird gear" or odd stuff is generally limited to a 3 figure price tag. but maybe i'm a bit nitpicking. either way jag/jazz/teles make up like more than 60% of the guitar posts it seems

i didn't mean it to be all grouchy, just sorta poking fun at the typical ILF user :P
being 3 guitars (tele/jag/lp) 1 or 2 amps (sunn or sovtek/orange) and a shitton of pedals

maybe i should have added a smiley face

i have noticed that the offset-guitars thing is big here, but i figure that's just a subset of the fact that offsets are/were really popular in the 90s/00s independent-rock thing, which most of the folks here are coming from in one way or another.
