Little music/sound making programs

I've been playing around with some of the Brambos software like Lunchbox and Taureg, I'm having a pretty good time with them.

Does anyone know of any other little tools I can download, prefferabley freeware?

And just to be clear, I'm not looking for VSTs or other DAW plugins...
