Black Arts Toneworks - LSTR

Post by Kayzer »

…its LSTR time…

Had this little buddy in the mail earlier this week along with some super neat shirts and sticker (all hail to Mark)

LSTR is indeed beefier than the Pharaoh and comes with a bit more gain on tap.
The “Scoop” control is pretty special since it feels like you are blending through 3 different big muff style pedals while turning the knob from full right to left or vice versa…

LSTR VS Pharaoh and also a stacking clips should be ready tomorrow…

Enjoy

I have found running the LSTR into the pharaoh yields the best results, that's the setup i currently use live and it is indeed beefy as hell. I use the pharaoh for my main fuzz tone and the LSTR as a super low end fuzzy booster (and sometimes on its own) and it works great! I kind of think that the LSTR also sounds more vintage in tone than the more modern sounding pharaoh. and if you want the end of the world heaviest fuzziest gnarliest tone try a lstr->pharaoh->(high gain over drive/distortion) or lead channel on your amp cranked, its feedback city but

So true! I run the LSTR -> Pharaoh -> Elements, it's jaw dropping, bowel loosening heaviness! I'm gonna throw the Black Forest pre and post fuzz when it's out, high expectations for that one.

I actually prefer the Pharaoh but the LSTR fucking rips, excelling with the high gain. Both go well together, covering a huge array of FAT muff tones.

+1.
Pharaoh manages to make almost anything I put in front of it sound SICK. LSTR>Pharaoh is borderline ridiculous...in a good way...
And Kayzer, your demos are what helped make me decide to buy a Pharaoh in the first place...first-rate vids :thumb:
Special low-frequency version.
