in fairness, he was a children's educational singer, and it was the 70s. Neil Young wore overalls in the 70s. Eric Clapton--Mr. Armani Suit--wore overalls in the 70s, when he wasn't wearing a boiler suit. the freakin' Bee Gees wore overalls in the 70s. Grace Jones probably wore black leather overalls.
