for some reason i thought it would be cool to set up Guitar -> Blowing up -> 1973 twin reverb.
It blew some preamp tubes i think, the thing crackled afterward, but i think the tubes were on the way out anyway. but, it still counts as blowing it up.
also, it wasn't my amp. and im an asshole. Wont be using it with other peoples stuff again, i can tell you that.

i would be surprised if Blowing Up did this. i'd bet that when that amp was for on 45 minutes or so the preamp tubes crackled before they saw the nuclear light of day that is Blowing Up.

Mine killed my old H|H VS Musician combo... 3 songs into a set.
Apparently it was the output transistors that went, along with a couple of diodes. I'm not too hot on my way around amps compared to pedals, so I took it in for repair and that was the diagnosis anyway.
The suspected perpetrator is now living on my band's bassist's board (it seems to like his P-bass A LOT), so I think it may well get adopted soon... at least until I find a burlier amp.

ive had my blowing up for nearly a year now, and the only thing i've ever had issues with is when i run it into a fuzz factory clone. At higher levels on the Blowing Up, the FF basically mutes, and you've to give it a minute or two to sort of calm down before it'll fuzz again. Maybe it doesn't like Russian GE transistors lol!

Still my fav pedal though. It has all of the loud.
