Big, bassy, thick, fuzz! Huge and full, crushingly big, while letting your guitar and dymanics shine through! Dare I say Pi Eater?
After a few years of tweaking the Great Wall, I decided to start over
almost completely to nail huge fuzz. I never wanted to clone a Big Muff (I think there are other, more unique ways to get huge!). Plus, I liked that the Great Wall circuit was more dynamic than the BMP, and retained more of the character of the guitar running into it. The Great Wall was versatile, but from thinner to thicker...the Huger is more versatile, but within the range of different huge fuzz tones!
I also wanted better tone controls, a smarter interface, and more of that super-alive fuzz frothiness! I kept some of that core GW circuitry, but added key clipping changes, all new diodes, more bass on tap than ever, separate Bass and Treble controls, diode switching (and 30-50% more circuitry than before)! When you switch the Tone controls on, you're not only sculpting, scooping and filtering, but also switching diodes over to a whole new fuzz flavor! There's a whole lot going on in the Huger.
They're just hitting the planet, with one direct-ordered batch sent out, one small batch at Tone Factor, and one batch in Belgium at Crush. Look for more at Prymaxe next week!
