My band is looking for a solution regarding controlling vocal effects when playing live and practicing...
Guitar pedals with XLR to 1/4"s? My sort of stance right now:
Pro: I only really want reverb and delay effects.
Con: Weird impedance / gain fluctuations, and the sound guys will probably hate us..
Dedicated vocal pedal like those fancy DigiTech ones
Pro: Nice stuff, good presets
Con: Kinda pricey, might have the same problems with the sound guy
Just rely on the sound guy's FX
Pro: Will probably sound best if the sound guy's good, and FREE!
Con: No control, and we're at the whim of the sound guy, so if he sucks... we suck

Right now I'm leaning towards relying on the sound guy's FX, and having some sort of vocal pedals as backup for practice and certain shows? Lead me in some sort of direction, guys!
