Why do book stores never have what I'm looking for? I went to a Borders yesterday looking for like 5 books. None of them were in stock. Not one.

If I was looking for porn mags I probably wouldn't have any trouble.

There's a bunch of novels I'm trying to find, and a bunch of manga. And, almost every book store near me is shutting down. There are only 2 Borders left in the area and both are going out of business within the next couple weeks. After that there are a couple Barnes and Nobles. Hopefully they last... Even though they still never have what I'm looking for.

Fucking read people. Seriously. Learn to god damn read. Books shouldn't be some endangered species I have to go on long expeditions to hunt down.

i like bananas, but not enough to spend however the fuck much it was they cost in Oz. in Amsterdam there's a store off the Leidseplein called the Banana Store or Banana Shop that sells fresh fruit and is open into the wee hours of the morning. if you factor it out, their bananas are probably pretty costly, but it's a great nom when stumbling home from a show at 2AM.

The delivery companies won't leave packages at my apartment, because it's right on the street, and they can't get into the lobby to leave it there. I don't know why deliveries only come while no one could possible be there to receive them.

So if I order something it will end up at a pickup location several days after it should have been delivered - which opens after I get to work, and closes before I get back from work.

Rig up some kind of automated pulley bucket mechanism out side of your window.

Have packages delivered to your work?

To be honest I always found Borders to be a bit overpriced,...and just another one of those hateful chains. FWIW as far as can tell the local mom and pop bookstores in town here are alive and well,...and more suitably located for me (IE actually in Downtown Spokane instead of some strip mall on the outskirts that I'd have to drive to). I'd rather spend my money at a local business then some Walmart of Books/CDs/DVDs/Coffee Shop store. Sucks for the people who's jobs are being liquidated but I'm not that bothered that Border's is going out of business.

Also,...yes,...smoking pot with a Zippo is unpleasant and not to be recommended. That's why I carry a bic as well; not to mention that my lighter is 6 years old,....has been through the wash once and probably needs to be overhauled I just doesn't hold fluid as well as it used to. It's good to have a backup flame.

I don't know if this should go in spite/rage/etc. or what, but I have a funeral I guess I'm obligated to go to. I don't not wan't to go or anything, but I'm so fricken exhausted after six night of 3rd shift in a row. If I were to try and go I'd either have to work tonight and tomorrow(will work tomorrow either way), or I'll have to make a four hour round trip with funeral, etc. while I would normally be sleeping. then work another 8 hours through the night. Now I need to stay up and attempt to broker some complex, three person, shift-swap.

FUCK I JUST WANT TO QUIT MY JOB BUT IF I MAKE IT THROUGH ONE MORE NIGHT TRAINING THE NEW GUY I GET OUT OF NIGHTS EXCEPT ONE PER WEEK AND I DON'T TRAIN HIM AGAIN UNTIL THURSDAY. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH.

i'm totally with you on the job, and back and forth on the moving out. it's really a bummer to know that you've become as incompatible with your partner as you are compatible, and to still love them. not exactly an easily resolvable situation.

So I somehow managed to squish a couple bananas INSIDE MY BLANKET. Why they were in my bed, I'm not really sure. But then I was all like FUCK NOW I HAVE TO WASH MY FUCKING BLANKET. So I take it down to the laundry room but all the machines are taken so I have to remove someone else's laundry from one of the machines so I can use it. But then the machines are all like LOADS ARE A DOLLAR FIFTY NOW, BITCH and I'm like FUCK YOU because they've been seventy five cents all summer, but I have to pay it anyway because I have FUCKING BANANA MUSH ON MY BLANKET. I start putting quarters in and then it magically starts working with only three quarters, so then I'm all like AWWWW YEAH, WHAT NOW YOU STUPID MACHINE. And now my blanket has gone through the dryer and is free of banana and is all warm and fluffy and is the COMFIEST THING EVER.
