i really like the sound--it stays on all the time--and i also have the RV-3 for the Enormous Shoegazey Reverb Thing. not to mention that doing volume pedal swells with both of them on simultaneously is also pretty nifty

FIFTY YEARS OF SCARING THE CHILDREN 1970-2020--and i'm not done yet
I like the Timeline for obvious reasons, numerous excellent delay modes with endless tweaking plus looper. Replaced a DL4 I used for years, regardless of Line6 hate, couldn't let it go. Glad I finally did.
The E600s are the complete opposite, simple analog delay but the best I've heard. Only improvement would be one E600 with tone so I didn't have to rotate the two. Mine sound perfect and full with none of the noise and hiss. Have yet to find anything better in my setup and I've tried more than a few.
Sometimes I use the 616 with a chorus like setting (from the manual ha ha) into the DMM with the delay on and a little vibrato, sometimes I use the 616 with lots of delay into the DMM with a little echo and lots of chrous or sometimes I use them both for washes of ambient sound......
Technically have 4 discrete delay choices in line normally. Old Boss ME-6B for mostly the vintage synth bass/ugly filter patches, but there are some delay patches in there too. Floor unit also runs into Digi Time Bender for analog emulation and harmonizer wierdness.
Signal from there splits into one amp/iso cab. It feeds into the rack. ART SGE or SGX (usually for multitap stuff) depending on rack running into two Digi RDS-3.6 LFO ugly delays (since they're mono, needed two).
I very very rarely use them all (and have a few more options especially if I run both racks together), but it's nice to be able to go for retarded broke.

My pedalboard costs approximately 191 Metal Zones.
Guyatone MD-3 -> Boss DD-20 Giga Delay -> (Right Channel) into Boss DM2 or BBE Two-Timer -> Fender reissue Reverb Tank (Left Channel) Boss RV-5 with one channel blocked so only the reverbed signal comes out
I generally use 3, and if my feedback loop counts 4: The main three Subdecay echo box, Maxon AD9, Digitech time bender.
I sometimes set them all to progressively longer repeats and you can make notes hang out forever. Generally though I have the time bender set to either reverse or a long delay that I like to use the hold function with, I set the subdecay to a modulated delay just a little warble and keep the maxon set for slapback stuff.

i run a malekko echo 300 bright for slapbacky stuff into the el cap for slightly longer delays and to get a kind of glitchy shimmery yyy's y control kinda thing going then into disaster transport or echo 600 for spaced out sounds.
I gots a DD6 in my feedback/bypass loop the begining of my chain and an M9 at the end functioning as basically a DL4 with billions of presets. and a few reverbs. I generally use one delay at a time though. just set up one delay for the song I'm writing. Use the DD6 for it's warp mode on a song my old band played. might keep that strange slap back on acid sound around for newer stuff.
Stacking Delays is kinda weird for me still. hard to get something cool sounding out of it.

I have a DD5 with both outputs to the input and fx return of my Q-Tron+ (With a Freeze in between). Usually I keep it on sample/hold or reverse. After that has been either a SMMH, DL4, Vintage Time Machine, and now they're all gone in favor of the M9, where I use reverse, lo-fi, analog w/mod or digi w/mod, and the plate verbs. It all starts with the DD5 though.

i had the exact same setup... but then i basically started to use DT for everything and SMMH didn't get much attention
