Any double delay setups?
Thinking about getting another delay to go with my DD-3. Particularly looking at the Flashback. But while I think about this some more, I'd like to see who else uses two (or even more) delays in their set up. What do you use and what do you like about the combination?

Re: Any double delay setups?
DD-5 and homemade digital or analog delay.
DD-5 is the first thing in my chain and is set for short repeats and medium feedback (sort of like a slapback with more feedback), the other delay is about halfway through and though i change the time for different songs, it's generally either set to medium-long repeats and short feedback or i let it self-oscillate and change delay time for pitch shift-y stuff.

I've got an Echolution and PDS 1002, and I guess you could count the cathedral for the pre-delay.
Echolution's got reverse and modulation covered. PDS does everything else and noise making.

Re: Any double delay setups?
i use three- dark echo into memory boy into dd7. one thing i like to do is set the dark echo to u2 type delay, then i run that into the memory boy with long lofi repeats and then the dd7 just adds some atmospheric sounds. pretty sexy if you ask me.

Re: Any double delay setups?
I run a memory toy after dirt but before two flangers, and then a dm-2 after that. I find the mem toy kinda livens up modulation, and the delay at the end makes it all the more dreamy, and makes the massive low blast from my flanger hoax last longer. I run both at pretty short delay times.

Re: Any double delay setups?
I have a main board and a separate looping board. when everything is running, i have three delays; all of them run towards the end of the chain. first is a Boss RV-3 which i use for short repeats and echoes that decay into the RV-3's cavernous Plate- and Hall-plus-Delay settings. i run a tremolo pedal after the RV-3 so i can sync the echoes on max feedback with the tremolo pulse for a sequenced-synth effect; i used to use a TR-2, but now use a Menatone Pleasure Trem 5000 which is synthier and has a LED that blinks to the clock pulse. the signal then goes through an EQD Ghost Echo reverb and off the main board to the looping board, where the signal gets routed via a stereo volume/pan pedal to a TC Flashback and/or a Akai Head Rush E2. both these are used for looping--both with the dedicated looper and by stacking sound-on-sound with the delay function--and can also be used as typical delays. i haven't used the whole setup outside of the house yet, because it takes up a ton of floor space, but it should be interesting.

it surely should
sounds interesting (just surprised with your choice of reverb... wouldn't expect Ghost Echo)I make pedal demos as East Stomp Boutique - http://www.youtube.com/c/eaststompboutique

Re: Any double delay setups?
Superdelay and Lunar Echo. They're both different enough that I use each one for separate applications, but also sound amazing combined for super atmospheric, ambient passages. The SD has the ability to get much longer repeats and more feedback without oscillation (and reverse submode C
), while the Lunar Echo makes everything suuuuper lush and purdy and creates more of a textural sound rather than a distinct set of repeats. Also, when the modulation on the SD seems too subtle, I can always rely on the Lunar Echo to help with that issue.

I use 2 or 3. Last in chain is the memory boy, shorter repeats (longer than slapback) for added depth to anything. A disaster transport is before that, set for a long delay plus vibrato.

shift daddy - slapback, pitch shift-y stuff
deluxe memory boy - osc noise, square wave stepped pitch bends, long delay
dl4 - looping, occasionally ambience + osc noise

Long delay = long time or long repeats? because i got rid of DT because it seemed to have fairly few repeats before oscillation...
i miss second delay
but it's too hard to choose and also a bit expensive I make pedal demos as East Stomp Boutique - http://www.youtube.com/c/eaststompboutique
