I freaking love Southpark.

Post by Brettski »

Anybody catch the first episode from the new season? They totally rip Disney to shreds for selling sex to little kids. If you see it coming on, watch it. Even if you don't like the show, chances are you want the Jonas Brothers' voices to hurry up and change so we won't have to suffer them any longer, and this will help satiate you... or at least...feel...better about hating people you've never met (guilty in this case).

Here's a link to site where you can watch it. Just click the "full episodes" button at the top of the page. The episode is entitled "The ring."

P.S.- my girlfriend just butted in with "why the hell are they always so close together? Give em some space, GOD."

As far a teenie bop pop, they less horrible that those shrill women sining to programmed loops and rap morons talking into vocoders.

These guys are playing actual music on actual instruments. As horrible as their music is, it's still better than 90% of the pop music out there. Like Hanson before them, they'll fade.

I thought it was alright...matt and trey seem to be picking on easy targets these days (family guy? britney? jonas?) and its kinda hit or miss. This was more miss.

The ending was hilarious though.

You gotta look deeper than them picking on the jobros. They're taking a stab at Disney as a whole, who've been sexualizing children for years. Easy target, maybe but an one without holes.

I can't help but feel like they largely phone it in these days. I get the meaning, but ultimately the show is supposed to be funny right? Lately the show has become a soap box for trey parker to bitch about stuff and you're supposed to agree with him and laugh...he makes up one joke and repeats it ad nauseam for 20m.

I guess the show was always like that, but it becomes hard to watch when it no longer makes you laugh. There are still a few gems every season, but the series has largely become  to me.

Yeah I've pretty much stopped watching it.
I never did like the repeated joke over and over again.
Obviously I'm not a fan of Mel Brooks or Monty Python either.

Yeah, it's kinda ranty.
I still like it... my problem is half these 13-year-old fucks that watch don't get the POINT OF THE SHOW into their heads even with Trey and Matt basically sledgehammering it into them over the course of a half-hour...
Kids walk in Spencer's Gifts and buy a South Park shirt then go around basically being the exact same douchebags that just got torn a new one on the show... pfft.

I typically enjoy the show... I don't go out of my way for it, but yeah, it always makes me laugh.

It is one and two-third hells better than Family Guy.

I can't tell you how many times I've watched the "Elementary School Musical" episode. The kid's dad is fucking histerical! And they way everyone busts out into songs and the main characters get disgusted.

Again, an easy target no one will shoot at but them. :poke:

Yeah, and what's with Mr. Burns? Is that for when you comment like a creepy old rich gay guy? Damn, I've got some work to do.
