Indeed...that is a rather 'hip-y' specimen there
I guess they had to reshape the body-style a little so they wouldn't get in trouble?

(I actually think I like that one better than a 'real' SG...)

It's an American Standard Telecaster in a quite odd color, Crimson red. Will probably become quite an unusual sight in about 10 years.
And yeah, my room was a mess on that picture.

Just how I like em, and I also like the shape better than regz sg's.

Re: Let's see your GUITAR!
the bridge is the original (quite microphonic) jag pickup.
the neck was somehow savagely chiseled to fit this old old höfner 515 pickup.

The brochure tells us that this pickup was intended for recording in the studio. It was a twin coil humbucking unit, and Hofner claimed that it "does not hum, and buzz and is without feedback".
It was fitted on several of Hofner's higher quality semis such as the 4578, 4580, 4700, and 4710, together with the 174 Solid during the early-mid 1970's.
not sure if it really is a mini-humbucker or not. it sounds bassy, ballsy and massive!

A part of me wants to punch the person that chiseled out the neck pickup, but then you see it as a whole and it's very beautiful! I'm jealous.
Also, what's in-between the bridge pickup and the bridge? Some sort of buzzstop?
There's a snake in my boots. Someone poisoned the waterhole!
