Pearl OC-07 Octaver DIY boards anyone?

Post by mysteriousj »

This :!!!: http://www.effectsdatabase.com/model/pearl/soundspice/oc07

I'm making some boards for me and another chap. Basically would anyone else here be into some while i'm at it? Price will just be at cost, ~$10US posted for the two boards. (I'm not too sure on the exact price as yet.)

This project involves SMD ICs (gaussmarkov's layout) which I know nobody in DIY is set up for. For a small charge I'll include and solder the ICs for you :)

Also this is a complicated project, so don't do it as your first build! Especially since if you manage to destroy an IC you won't be able to replace them  But it's a pretty cool project that usually might be too difficult for some!

Just for an expressions of interest, you don't need to confirm anything.

I'm thinking about that right now actually. They'll be professional boards, but because i'm doing them at such a low quantity getting them silkscreened and soldermasked doubles the price. Soldermasks the most expensive one but I've worked on heaps of proto boards without soldermask no problem, so will probably skip it. Still thinking about silkscreening..Yeah I think I'll silkscreen.
I'll be sending the files off hopefully later today and all going well get them in ~ 2 weeks.

Sounds good. The soldermask is not a must have really, it's just nice. With such a small run, it's not really worth the cost, IMO.

BUMP, I did this and have a couple spares!

So if any of you dudes want some, price: $15 and includes oddball parts ICs*, transistors, 1n34 diodes. If anyone is keen let me know.
*I can pre-solder them to the board if you're scared of smd

The pcb silkscreen is a little screwed up in places but is mostly functional lol.

Lastly this project is a tough one, so yeah.. def not a first build.
