As a guitarist, I totally agree. That's why I like to play rhythm so I can just double the bass riffs in harmony like Kevin Barnes.

Also, so I can chug out the funk on those top four strings not even holding them down half the time.

as someone who plays guitar and bass, i totally think bass is more fun. some of it is that uncorking those huge, fat low notes just plain feels good. BA-BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM. BA-BBBBBBBBBBBBBBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM. what's not to like? i've also been saying for years that bass is the most powerful position in the band. by the bass note you select, where you put it, and the way it's reproduced you can be the determinative influence on the texture, the rhythmic feel, and even the harmonic content of a band's sound. play behind the beat, you're a blues band. play right on top, you're metal. play a little ahead, you're the Grateful Dead, or Yes. play major thirds over punk-rock, and you're Husker Du...unless you do it 20 years later, in which case you're Green Day. play fifths with a lot of treble, and you're Joy Division.

I'd post this in the happiness thread, but then I'd be double posting. After pondering over gut shots, trying to find schematics and even stalking one guy on TGP since google showed he had posted gut shots, I realized all I need to do to fix my Flanger simply to simply tighten the knut on the output jack so it stayed grounded. Now, my pedalboard is totally sploosh-worthy. Pics to come in gear section.

There was a report on the news just now that was informing parents not to forget thst their children are in the car. One of the tips was to put your cell phone in the back to remind you about you infants existence, because your more likely to remember. Your phone over an infant. It was a pretty awful report. I also do not know what thread to put this in, but I liek this one.

My first thought was so that the infant could call you and remind you of where they are.

The other day I saw someone with their car window wide open(very common in my area) so I wrote a note saying, "I could have take ANYTHING from your car. Next time, don't be so dumb. Just lookin' out for you - Phantom Spaceman"

And the bid news. I found a metal cheetah-patterned vial(for lack of a better word) in the bathroom at work. After the pee I initially came in there for I decide to investigate. Lo and behold! My suspicion is confirmed, it's drugs. A single pill, light purplish, one side has an M inside a square, other side says 30. I'm guessing it's either methadone, morphine(does that come in pills?) or less likely MDA/MDMA. I will now investigate...

EDIT: I believe what I have found is a 30mg tablet of Morphine. Hopefully not a suppository

oh yeah and a meth lab by my house caught fire to the hotel. 40 displaced crackheads were provided with an elementary school to live and smoke crack in. I'll see if I can dig up a video from the local news
