As do I, one of my main guitars, I love it.

Never have found a Strat I liked though...

Not around here... We have a statue for SRV sake... I just got back from Half Price Books with an awesome Hawkwind LP, and there was a kid up there maybe 20 with full SRV getup on... Boots with pants tucked in, turquoise necklace and hat band, hat, shirt open to his hairless chest, feather earring, scarf in back pocket, EVERYTHING... I tried to snap a pic but he saw me and sulked away... True story, some things never die... :idk:

I play one because it's what I grew up playing.

And growing up I loved cobain and gilmour. And now, I still love cobain and gilmour.

Every Fender I've owned can probably be attributed to love for Cobain now that I think about it.

I have no beef with strats, except that I think they are uncomfortable. The first guitar I got was strat styled, and I found it rather large and bulky. Since then I have tried smaller body types and I prefer them.

Anybody who hates on strats cause of SRV or whatever is kinda dumb  . Didn't Corgan play a strat on Siamese dream? Guitars sound like the player! Not like themselves. :snax:

Dude, that shit is so funny! I lived in Austin from 92' to 2012. I know exactly what you mean. Haven't been there in a long while but I am sure that element will never die. The self-proclaimed "live music capital of the world" shit always was laughable because it seemed that 90% percent of that shit was shitty SRV cover bands. There was a band in the mid 90's called the Motards. One the front or back of one of there 7"s there's a pic the members pissing on the SRV statue.

So you still live in Austin and are planning to move next year?

Don't think Univox ever made one with single coils.
