True! But if it sounds good and you want to incorporate sitar type sounds into your music, particularly in live situations, then it makes life a lot easier .
so it looks like it has two voices--or more likely one voice and an octave splitter...you know how EH love those octave splitters--with LEAD and SYMPATHETIC levels and a PROGRAMMING knob which selects between octave, key, and modulation modes. i assume the 2-character display gives you octave displays in +/-1, 2 etc. and keys in e.g. A0, A1 similar to a MIDI synth. five'll get you 10 the EXOTIC mode gives you a random or disharmonic set of fake sympathetic strings. i'd love to hear what the key and mode changes actually do to the SYMPATHETIC settings.
BTW you can get an excellent sitar sound using the right-hand side of the Phantom Ring/Arcade in combination with a properly adjusted chorus or flanger.
