I kind of want to plug one in to a really cheap practice amp and turn the volume on the amp and pedal all the way up.

Some of those little practice amps break up "nicely" when cranked, so that plus full boost, will blow up for sure. Do it.

i own the vox ac4tv and the epiphone valve junior and i can attest that these amps are ripe for abuse. especially with blowing up.

Hey Lawrence, Ive been thinking about picking up one these crazy things. I see on the newer blowing up's a flip switch has been added. The info on your site still lists it as a one knobber. Whats the switch do? low/high gain setting?

Really? Damn, i need to fix up that website. I've had the design idea done for months. I just hate working with code. It's no fun at all.

So to answer your question.

The flip is high or low gain. The knob is now volume. So you can get distortion from blowing up on it's own if you'd like.

No, it used to be a variable gain.

GAS for a Blowing Up just tripled. I think I'll go sell plasma or something.
