My alarm didn't go off this morning - woke up at 10 instead of 6. Already late for work. Got out to my car and it's boxed in by a line of construction vehicles. Finally get them all to move and get out. Hit every single red light out of the city. Get to my work and the entrance to the parking garage is blocked off, so I have to take the long way around. Usually in at 8, in today at 10:45.

i had TWO possible jobs fall through last week. the magazine thing wound up not happening, and another possible employer filled a position between a 2PM call to me and my 9AM callback the following day. then to make things even better, that guy called back and offered me freelance work which i couldn't accept because i don't have the Adobe CS applications on the computer here. if it wasn't for the progress i've made with my looping setup--i traded in a couple of old boxes and got an Octave Multiplexer for $4.95 that i'm using to fake bass parts--i would be totally depressed. so instead i'm 85% depressed.

What programs do you need?

Photoshop? Illustrator? Flash? Dreamweaver?

Those can be expensive - also I'm not sure if the latest versions run on XP. If there are some computer stores around give them a look and you may be able to find an old version on the cheap (you'd probably want CS2 or CS3 with your system). Also, if you know anyone who has kids in college, students can usually buy that software from their school for a lot less than the retail price.

Those options aside, I may be able to find a copy of CS2 or CS3 I could give you (A legit copy, not a cracked copy or something). I work in graphic design and have a lot of friends that do also, so I - or someone I know - may have one of those versions that isn't using it anymore.

No promises on that though.

Dub, you can't "procure" a copy of CS?

Also, fuck you PSN. 3 weeks to download the Uncharted 3 beta and the thing fucking crashes every time.

Moral debate aside, you usually don't want to use illegal copies of software with work. Work introduces issues of you making money off of something that is effectively stolen.

I hate coworkers. Especially ones that are still back in the 80s and refuse to use email for anything other than 'I'd like it if you could give me call' then proceed to forward that email to the higher ups as time goes by.

My boss comes and visits my cubicle to let me know he's sent me an email. EVERY TIME. As though I wouldn't know.

Also,

WHY THE HELL ARE MEALS SO FAR APART? I CAN'T WAIT MORE THAN AN HOUR OR TWO TO EAT. AND SNACKING JUST MAKES ME MORE HUNGRY. IT IS LEGITIMATELY PAINFUL.

My Ideal schedule:

7:00 - Breakfast
9:00 - Workday Breakfast
10:00 - Brunch
12:00 - Lunch
2:00 - Post Lunch
4:00 - Dinner Warmup
6:00 - Dinner
8:00 - Dinner 2
10:00 - Early Night-wich
12:00 - Midnight Meal
3:00 - Late Night Hold-over

* Snacks are interspersed between scheduled times.
