hahaha! it does look like it doesnt it! I'm guessing they probably sandblast it, paint it, then relic it. It looks like the paint's tearing off it or something. its all ridged, and relicd. And yes that is an organic cotton strap. fucking hipster. lawl.

yeah this is the first time i've ever played p90s, so i'm still getting used to them. They're very interesting to say the least. like the output of a humbucker, but with the hum and twang of a single coil. I'm still "adjusting" to them, but if i dont like them, there's a few good p180s out there that i could go for.

All I will say is that your guitar looks like it's made out of fondant... :p

Glad you like them!

The second to the right is a 1980 Japanese Washburn Hawk, or maybe a Falcon, I’m not sure. I got it 15 years ago for a ridiculously low price, it was my second electric and my first decent one. The pickups I exchanged for Duncans.
AFAIK these were the first Washburn electrics that weren’t copies of anything. Maybe Google knows more. They did a high-price reissue in the late 90s.

The second to the left is a 2008 Taranaki. Taranaki Guitars is the German importer for lots of effects brands and also for Eastwood and Reverend guitars. This was their first and only line of originals, made in Korea. Very nice guitars, but they didn’t sell well, so a year or so later they did a big closeout sale where I got mine. The vibrato is not original, I added the Duesenberg-“Bigsby” and also replaced the pickups, I didn’t really like the stock P90s. The pickups now are actually Strat-pickups in P90 housing. Really nice guitar, although very heavy.

Well, this Hofner is one of the last ones that were German made before they started having this “Verythin” model made in Asia (2006 :idk:). So it's not an import. It’s actually the most expensive of the bunch.

The Tele is a Warmoth build, but all the others I bought 2nd hand or at sales. Only the Warmoth and Danelectro have their original pickups. The Dano is the baritone model and also has the “Digsby”. Big improvement! :thumb:

I'm not one to split hairs but even the German ones would be imports ;) ,....but you right, I thought is was an Asian import. :)

A local shop sells the Asian ones and I would consider one even if it is Indo/Kor/Chin made (I actually only remembered about them after you posted your family shot and one of the local young blues cats jams one). I've played them and with a PUP upgrade I think they are completely serviceable guitars.

Absolutely! I once played one of the Chinese ones in the shop and it was on par with mine. Pickup upgrade and you'd have one amazing guitar!
