Well i've been using my dd-6 delay for some time now but its annoying as hell to tweek the settings for different songs live so i've been considering getting a Line6 DL4 so i can have 3 different delays and also i wanna play around with the looper since i am the only guitar player in my band. BUT i've heard horror stories about the quality of these things, the footswitches are shitty, they crap out during shows, quality control was in general poor on line 6's part, and not to mention the volume drop issue.... it would serve my needs, but i need reliability since i play out an average of 2 to 4 times a month minimum plus 4 to 8 band practices a month for 4 hours at a time, and the occasional weekend or week long tour. so i started looking around at other options and well i discovered the EQD ghost disaster....... the combo of delay and reverb allows me 3 different combos of tone and the transparency and the tone of this pedal is unreal or should i say real unlike the dl4 which i find sometimes sounds too digital for me.... i was just wondering your guys thoughts on both pedals before i go and shell out 2 to 3 hundred for the last pedal i need for my board.

Skip, you rule. You hate people so much, you're willing to discredit all human progress, its awesome.
buy a cheapish used one and send it to drasp, he'll fix the fuck out of it for not too much

On the same note, I only do post-gay. It's based on elements of homosexuality, but with different structures and dynamics. Oh, and lots of reverb.
So a couple of months ago, I started down this path, and wound up picking up a used M13 by the time it was all said and done...after all, it's a better made DL4 + Verbzilla + way more, and if you look at places like Guitar Center, they pop up for not much more than a new DL4...
Get a used m9/13 or wait for a sale. That way you can stack yo dl4 while you dl4 your dl4.
The ghost disaster is great but you sacrifice the looper and presets. You can sorta get presets with the gd as you mentioned, but you are kinda limited in that department.
I've had two DL4's and never had a problem with either of them I think you need to make sure you get the specified power supply to ensure it functions properly but as previously mentioned if any problems do occur I'm almost positive drasp would be able to help in repairing it.
Deflating Expectations.

I had a Drasp DL4 and it was BAD ASS! Definitely increases reliability, functionality, and pure sex appeal. Those mods can get pricy though, m9 would probably be a better decision.
...or save a bit more for a Timeline and never buy delay again (for awhile at least). That's what I did, selling the DL4 in the process. Couldn't be happier!
