phantasmagorovich lives in a part of germany, where 0,2 Liter is the normal Beer serving size and normaly 4,8% is the normal value

i'm a bit more in the south and we have serving sizes between 0,4 to 1,0 Liter and alcohol values 5-6% up to 8%.
So i do not like the "<5%" comment for my tastes. (just to explain my WHAT?)
In the south of Germany you get better beer

jk. I'm quite familiar with the different regions of Germany, I spent a semester there in college and hit a lot of them. One of the reasons I love your beer styles so much.

If you want to count Chicago since it's only two hours away the list would be even bigger.

Today is my berfday. I'm 29 as of 8:33am EST.

AND I'm gon' drink some beers. Usually my special event beer of choice is La Fin Du Monde by Unibroue of Quebec. And that is what I shall have as I play with my new 3k Singing Tree that I just got in a trade! Yar!

I looked back a little to see if there is a beer thread, and didn't immediately see one, so I'm starting this one with a "?" until I'm sure there isn't like a 55 page one that I missed... and once I know this one is cool, I'll replace the "?" with a "!"

Here are my favourites!

1. Bell's Two Hearted IPA (from Michigan where I live)
2. Unibroue La Fin Du Monde
3. Founders Red Rye PA (also from Michgan!)
4. Bell's Hopslam Double IPA (brewed with honey)
5. Weinstephaner (oldest brewery in the world... 1040 was the year founded, I think)
6. Stone Ruination Double IPA (California of course!)
7. Schneiderweisse Hopfen Weisse (an IPA weissebeer, wholly unique taste and gooooood)

Those are the ones that pop out immediately.

No probs bobs. Old Style is just that important, in fact, I think I'll go crack open one of my last bottles. It's from a few weekends ago when I was in Chicago and got a 12 pack of bottles that look like baseball bats and have Cubs logos on them.
