need some help guys, im' just a bore on stage now that i'm stuck standing behind a synth, sampler and pedalboard.

with a guitar or bass strapped on I could run around... i don't know what to do with myself except keep my head down and look intense.
i'm not putting a strap on my nord lead either.. that's something out of a No Doubt video IIRC.

You could always strap your keyboard around your neck(i don't care if you already said you wouldn't do this ), wear a cape, and have long, startlingly blonde hair.

It seems like a lot of air humping while really laying into that whammy switch. Then start playing saxophone? Then drop your keys on the floor, and pounce on them/claw at them like a pissed off house-cat.

Or you could pull a Keith Emerson and stab your keys with knives to hold them down so you can play more notes at once.

My sister plays synth, so she does most of it through midi, so basically she just dances around the whole time.And YOU don't need to worry about screwing up, well the rest of the band still can but that's their problem haha

Well, even if you don't feel they "owned" it, the keyboard player at least has stage presence.

You could take their lead and add a lot of lights and images and wear a robe and stuff. Or, just be INCREDIBLY loud, which they were as well. I played with them not too long ago, and they were also bafflingly nice people.

i try hard to at least even look up while i'm playing, but my problem is that i play relatively complex parts and i don't have the coordination to play 2 keyboards at once, switch patches, step on pedals, control a sampler, sing backing vocals, do noise/feedback with another vocal mic AND look at the audience...

as long as you're not sitting, you'll be ok. keep your head down, look intense and give the band/audience a look and a smile every now and again.
