Building a DIY "Dual Knobless Devi Ever" Pedal

Sorry for crossposting this with Devi's forum but looking for suggestions on this....

I've been thinking of building my own version of Mellowtone's super limited Clean Chan Dirty Chan but using two small Devi circuits instead. Instead of knobs on the outside I'll be using trim pots on the inside for set-and-forget settings.

Currently I'm thinking of KP > 33. That way I'll have a nice boost/overdrive, a nice gated fuzz, and hopfully a nice sustaining fuzz beast when combined!

But my mind keeps changing

They'll need to be based on the smaller circuits Devi has because they'll both be fitting inside a normal small enclosure with 2 footswitches, jacks, and leds. If there are any other tiny simple circuits out there I might like, please let me know!

Anyone else have any suggestions as to what they'd put in there instead? I'm kinda more into playing shoegazery type stuff at the moment which is why I have opted for one of the more mellow combos.

I was also thinking of various combos like:

DB > DB which would also give me a more tweakable Ruiner

KP > KP Which I imagine would give me a pretty nice overdive/distortion, but may be a little too bright?

EB > KP Which is a Devistortion

DB > EB which I imagine would give me a nice stoner fuzz

If anyone has a KP and a 33/Silver Crank, I'd love to hear a demo of the KP driving the 33 to make sure it's what I'm looking for.

if you ever have a problem with a bright pedal feeding another bright pedal, its time to start thinking about filtering. or even the lack of filtering in the bright pedal. changing the input cap of the second pedal to a bigger value is a super easy fix to that problem. if you haven't started buying parts yet, I would say do the whole thing on perfboard or vero. it might actually be smaller, neater, cheaper than having the two pcb's bouncing around. also, why stick to just devi circuits? if it was me, I wouldn't even need two trim pots. one or no trim pots is enough. you just gotta dial it in with real pots when your testing it. then measure the pot to get the value of the fixed resistors. you will have to make a second parts order at that point though to get the exact values of the pot in metal film %1 resistors. I suggest mouser for the metal film resistors. I dont know if trim pots fit on vero. I never used vero.

Duh, I never even though of simply changing the input cap on the second circuit! Would be simple enough to mess with alright. Thanks for the tip!!

Sorry, shouldn't have really had the devi thing in the thread title. Currently thinking of 2 devi circuits, but have/had been contemplating a few others too like a Melxotone & SHO or LBP, BuzzBox & Boost. It just kinds turned out that I figured the 33 and KP would work best for the sort of stuff I'm currently playing. The 33 seems to take chords well, the KP is nice and mildly fuzzy in extreme settings. I'm definitely open to the idea of other circuits though!! As long as they're small I may end up building both circuits onto the same piece of stripboard, but that may depend on what I end up building and the space available to me once all the switches and jacks etc are in the box. Wish I was able to squish my circuits into tiny little boards like Mellowtone!

Also, I had thought about using fixed resistors alright, but I figured having the 2 tweakable trimmers on both circuits couldn't hurt. If space get's tight it's definitely a possibility though.
