i don't like warpaint really either, but i saw them live anyway. i thought it might convert me or something. it didn't, at alllll. they were the most boring show i've ever been to but ymmv.

going to shows alone is awesome btw, i prefer. try it, you might love it!

better to go by yourself than not go at all. seeing music you like and being sad and lonely is better than sitting at home and being sad and lonely, no?

This makes me wonder how many people were at their shows hoping to be converted, but weren't. Might be a disappointing follow up tour for them.

I loved it when I saw them live, I thought they put on a great show :idk: but I suppose I went as a fan already. Agree about going to shows solo, I go to a huge number of gigs alone because I don't know anyone who likes a lot of the bands I do, and when you get used to it it's cool if a bit boring waiting around for the bands to start.

if i didn't go to shows alone, i'd never see 75% of the stuff i want to see. i don't know anyone in my age cohort who wants to see Merzbow, or MBV, or even fuckin' Supergrass. i just take a book or a magazine, buy a drink, and sit around and read during the break. there's yet another reason i miss cigarettes.

i have always had a good time at shows by myself. i actually might be going to see BONGRIPPER by myself tomorrow night. i live about 30 miles outside of chicago and most of the time when i go to a show alone there ends up being someone i know that lives downtown at the show anyway.

I found that going to shows, eventually you see similar people and BAM show friends. Now you're never alone at a show.
