Zvex mastotron is my bass heavy fuzz of choice, the subs switch lets you really fine tune it, plus it fits well anywhere in the chain so I can jam it behind all my buffered octave pedals and get some really nice low end swat. I have the collection of muffs and other fuzzes but this has been the longest standing one on my board.

This is exactly what I was thinking.
The Fuzz Huger looks very promising as well.

Kill em all was what a mesa bass amp and a muff
What I do personally is I have a superfuzz clone [Katana sound] that has a blend and run a muff [also a katana sound] into it and I happen to use a mesa
but I would not call this a crunchy sound... more just big and massive. But really this is where I think a pedal with a blend shines because you can run a non blended pedal into it and really taylor the texture of the sound you are after... Have you looked at the woundedpaw Battering Ram http://www.woundedpaw.com/catalog/produ ... cts_id=150 I have yet to try but maybe check out some demos of it
here is what I could find... there has to be more out there though..

If you want bass heavy and still crunchy, you also might want to check out the Fuzzhugger Great Wall.

True.. although if you go that way get one with a tone control. I'm giving thought to having mine modded with one or getting a newer one one of these days.
