It sounds great and damn evil. Very dark sounding fuzz, saturated, growly, with a hint of filtery sound. The Wah is a little gimmicky, it's hard to do anything but a fixed wah sound with that heel controller. It does sound pretty good and why not using it for a fixed wah sound? Both parts don't play well together at all though. Maybe there is something else broken and that's why the connection doesn't work, but if I turn on both parts the pedal loses lots of volume and the fuzz gets all eaten up. All I get is a shitty fizzy sound.
I have read the Jennings Fuzz and the Meathead were related in some DIY forum (freestompboxes..?) so of course what I was most interested in was a direct comparison. I have an M-13 of the newest batch from Downstroke. The fuzzes both sound a lot alike, the character of the Fuzz is the same, but there are differences: Jennings is a good deal darker than my Meathead, and the Meathead cleans up much more. The Jennings stays gnarly and a little fuzzy, while the Meathead sounds like an Overdrive at the end of my guitar's volume knob. Overall the M-13 is more sensitive to my guitars controls, imagine a scalpel while the Jennings is a bit heavier, imagine a butcher's knife.
