Update and stuff!

So like what did this project die or something right... answer, yes and no... Two things happened... first I got that flying V and so my SS search sort'a died... Then fucking fender put out the cheap piece of shit that looked just like this so all the fire I had was stoled [fuck fender] So... now what? Welllll I have been struck with hi-flyer gas a lot of late [I blame my avatar] so I am buying a old burst high-flyer body and am going to just use that with the parts I have here plus a teisco pickup I have in the bridge. This will be much more me and more punk and shit! as for the jazz body I have a different project in mind... for later.

Yes [and it's a good thing I took no vacation last year and was able to cash that in to pay for the thing   :lol] but a RIC is not a SS ;) The RIC is in waiting intill I get this and my big V bass project underway... mainly for room issues... I have no more room on my work table

Oh also.... What is the opinion on the color? Should I leave it burst or paint it, I'm thinking flat black or some kind of blue.

This is gonna be awesome. Burst actually looks pretty good on Hi-Flyers imo.
But blue with white pickguard would look cool too :erm:

What kinda pickups are you thinking?

Basically all I am changing in the project is the bod and adding a teisco pickup at the bridge [I am pulling this from the Thang MK-I which is being turned into a midi controller] so Neck: TV Jones Thundertron. Bridge: Teisco square poll/blacktop single coil. My only snag is pickup rings which I think I'll have to make myself.

Also... I am annoyed that I can't find a sticker version of Yoko's shull hairpin  You can get the actual thing or a patch but no sticker  Gainax's merchandising has finally failed me :grumpy:

How do they not have a sticker for that? Seems like an obvious merchandise option.
