I love them, the new records a bit overwhelming though, hard to listen to in one go.
I've got a bunch of their 7"s and stuff too but the limited amount I have is a drop in the water compared to how many small run singles they've released.
Also check out the "year of the ox" single/EP it's pretty cash

yea i noticed that about the new one....and funny you should mention it....: i LOVE year of the OX. i've been picking a lot of singles and totally love it. it's great to have a punk/HC band in the times that seems to be real.

Gonna see them in Philly on Sunday. Great stuff, dig their energy and punch but also they have a very melodic feel, at least to me. Really have the vibe of some earlier punk. I'm also diggin the openers for the show, Jeff The Brotherhood... another cool band with a foot in vintage punk.

I've read great things about Fucked Up for years (media darlings) but still need to check 'em out. Hear the new album is a bit of a new direction though I wouldn't know.
Anyone recommend a good starting point? Anything and everything?

My old band played with them several times and became friends w/ Damien. They are a great band. Always releasing cool stuff. They have put out an insane amount of awesome singles! I cannot belive the amount of truely awesome work they have produced. Damien is a wild man live. I have seen him wearing one of my old bands shirts several times in photos and videos. makes me smile,

Try the first disc of the singles collection. I think it's called " a couple of tracks".

Just get "Epics In Minutes" to start. It either has all of their singles or most of them up from the very first. Hidden World and The Chemistry of Common Life are both great LP's from start to finish. You really cannot go wrong with this band. All of the new stuff sounds incredible as well!

AHHHH! They rule! I saw them at Mess With Texas 2, and Keith Morris came on the stage and sang "Nervous Breakdown"! Twas amazing. Then, the Waste played, and I got hit in the head with a beer can.
