TS / TS based diy kits

Post by jfrey »

What are some good ones?

I was thinking about the Guitar PCB Cap't Munch. Supposedly like a TS but with extra gain?

You can increase the gain of any 808 by increasing the value of the gain pot. The stock is 500K, and a lot of the boutique versions use 1M.

I was just given a broken TS9 form the early 90's. I opened her up and found that the wires to the drive pot were totally undone. After a quick solder job and a little cleaning up I had a perfect TS9. Sounded good enough but not something I would hold on to. I sold it for 50 bucks. Hahaha. I am in the market for a Screamer kit with all the mods though. Point me in the right direction!

I did a mod for a guy to pass more bass at the first high pass filter. changing the .047 out for a .1uf gave him that low E that was just disappearing before. he was gonna sell it but know he love love loves it. if you keep going on that cap, like .22 or .47 ... you have a fart screamer! :omg:

BYOC has a couple. They're a little more than most, but some of the best you can buy.
