Oh man, don't throw hard numbers in my face. I am mathed out for the week.
It's probably under 20% by now.

I know it isn't a logic argument or that important, but it has made my Saturday in the office way better.

So how I see it is
A Jazz Bass IS an offset waste guitar
but an offset Waste guitar is NOT a jazz bass
....yeah that looks about right

ok so i'm interested what the general consensus is/says, and why.

of course, we might be a bit shifted (since the jazz bass is an offset guitar) alright, but generally speaking, i think i see more precision basses in "famous" bands than jazzers.
