Recommend me some rap / hip hop

I like very very little rap/hip hop/r&b that I have heard, but I think there's good stuff in every genre if you look, so I'm interested in finding some new stuff that I'll enjoy.

yesss! every time i come back to it i get excited about it. and on the subject of mashups, or at least mashup type things, the ratatat remix mixtapes are pretty sweet too. they are pretty much what led me to start listening to rap.

ratatat made their own mixtapes. physical copies were only available on their tours i think, and they went pretty fast. they had the downloads on their website for a while, but i don't think they are still up. i'm sure they're elsewhere on the internet though.

I can't see any of the vids here, so sorry if I'm repeating someone, but pretty much the only rap I listen to these days is Ghostface.

occasionally I'll break out some stuff from the 90s - I was really into it at the time, with the Native Tongues stuff, the Wu, all the great DJ Premier produced stuff, etc. - but mainly, it's Ghostface.
