NPD - Blunderbuss

This just greeted me at work today:

So far I gotta say I love it. Its interesting how similar it is to the musket, and yet, a world away.
Its courser and spittier. The Musket is way smooth. This is really fat.
All subjective I will concede. Anyway, I think this will be a keeper.

Over and out!

Congrats and thanks for that--as if I needed any more beanz to feed this GAS. :)

This one seriously intrigues me--no slight on the standard Musket, which was one of the firstest and bestest in the "improved Muff" class, but circumstances ended up filling it's niche in my stable with other devices. This seems to be a horse of a different color, though. Despite the topographical kinship to the Muff, the germs in that circuit seem to produce a final effect that is quite different from a Muff--even other Muffs with alterna-diodes like the Hoof, Pharoah, VTF and what have you. [Edit--having done some more research I think the difference I'm hearing is the asymmetrical clipping in the BB.] I've noticed a big difference in the Montgomery Appliances Badlands, too (which is apparently all Ge, trannies'n'diodes both). And I like it. :excellent:

PS--lid art roolz!

Killer fuzz, happy NPD. Love the way it sounds on chords - fucking noisy.

what's really cool is that the best art is on the inside of the box.

Agreed, that Blackout "Lid Art" thread is awesomely impressive! Need to check the Whetstone I received yesterday, forgot about it until seeing this...

Really, really, really in love with mine!

I seem to actually like it more than the standard Musket v.2 in my Twosome. Great art too...
