I'm more like a mids-ist than a bassist.

I can't wait to annoy the shit out of you with my mountain of mids. - bigchiefbc

Re: Art Of The Stompbox DVD
the commercial is the most pretentious thing i've ever seen with effects pedals

Re: Art Of The Stompbox DVD
The idea behind the DVD is to show non-guitarists or beginners what is possible.
It is not intended for gear hounds who roam through internet pages all day long.
BUT
I was surprised to see some pedals I've never heard before.
And I love the improvisations of HK and NC.
But the DVD could have been a bit longer. In the first chapter about fuzz boxes they talk in detail about certain pedals.
In later chapters some pedals are not even shown or named.
And Henry cheats when he uses some of his rack effects.
It is well worth the 10 bucks. But it seems the poster is sold out.

I think I mentioned this in the other thread but...
I love the dynamic between NC and HK in that DVD, just strangely awkward/uncomfortable. Entertaining indeed!
