the 64 versions were ok in their time but I dont like to go back to them. wind waker is sick but you'll get stuck without the guide. twilight princess is fucking sick, do that.

You realize you just committed LoZ heresy right?

Heresy schmersy.

I've loved all the Zelda games at one time or another... except for Twilight Princess. Didn't love it, but I guess I liked it. I hesitate to play it again because I feel like it might just be a big waste of time for something that I didn't enjoy all that much.

I thought about going early to present, but that means TP would be last, and that doesn't hit me as a satisfactory climax to the series. Maybe I'll go backwards like J. Fries up there... I just, I hate to say it, but I don't think I have any interest in playing TP again. Wind Waker... fuck yeah. I've played through Majora's Mask 1.5 times, so maybe I should do the other .5 of that (though it would mean starting a new game).

First I have to beat Blaster Master, though, before I start any other games.

I gave up on Wind Waker when I had to sail around finding all the Triforce pieces, fuck that...
But I did enjoy exploring and boarding enemy subs and stuff.

Blaster Master is easymode if you pause the game while a bomb is exploding on an enemy, wait like 10 seconds and then unpause :erm:

Though...it's been so long I can't remember if I ever beat it. That game was hard without the trick.
Almost as hard as 3D World Runner. Fuck.

I played it again a few years ago when I got a real NES again. its like the same shit over and over until it gets impossible. didn't know about the glitch though. just not enough lives to beat the game. you could waste a whole day and still be mad as shit when you dont beat it.

It's a pretty dope game... or, well, it's a good game, but the music makes it that much better. Killer tunes on par with the first Contra (but not the Mega Man series). Two days ago I got drunk and said BRING IT. I've played through the first four levels so many times that I can get through those in like 20 minutes total... and I use the super-missles (Homing, Thunderbolt, and 3-Way) and stuff so rarely that I just power up my gun to the rainbow-super-death-ray and skip the rest of the overhead levels. I've beaten every boss besides the last one (haven't gotten there yet) without the Grenade Glitch, but I now use that to exploit those bosses. It only works on boss 2, 4, 6, and 7. Super helpful on 6, not really necessary for 2, 4, or 7, but what the hell. I wish it worked on the bubble-blowing crab at the end of 5... what a dick.

The thing that frustrates me is that the challenge towards the end of the game (the first 75% of it is GREAT) isn't in good level design, but bullshit play control. Like when you get all the power-ups, you should be unstoppable (i.e. the original Metroid)... instead, SOPHIA the 3rd becomes nothing more than a clumsy dune buggy, and it just gets bad. I hate it when games are hard only because of poor control design.

WELP. I must beat it.

I don't do guides. Twilight Princess was actually my least favourite. It was too easy.

I agree... TP was my least favorite, with WW being my fav.

Anyone here play Sanctum? Meant to start up Ocarina over the weekend, but somehow didn't get to it. Played a bit of Sanctum though. Beat the first 3 areas on medium, and I must say, that game is even cooler than I originally thought it was. A lot of fun.

I never finished wind waker or twilight princess...and I'm a zelda nut (and a gaming nut that finishes EVERY game I play).
They kinda just got boring and I never picked them up again :idk:

Haven't posted here in a while...
KIllzone 3: Mreh. Maybe it's a blast with the Move but I don't have one and it was pretty forgettable as far as everything else goes.

Force Unleashed 2: Not sure why this was even made. The first one at least treated the films in a respectable way, and it is widely accepted as "canon".
This one has star killer killing a billion troopers with force lightening and flinging starships like play things from the get go. Also there were only like 3 levels...3 REALLY long levels, but still...
Awful story.

Bulletstorm: Fun/clever kill scoring system, and the kills do feel visceral...but as you up the difficulty you end up just kicking/leashing every enemy to the nearest pit/hazard and using the sniper rifle on bosses.
After the charm of the awesome kills wears off it's nothing but a mediocre third person shooter. Epic took a lot of shots at Halo/CoD, but in the end those games were a lot more fun than this one.

Portal 2: <3 the attention to detail. If you play through the dev comment mode you really start to understand how much work went into the game.
I really loved the evolving/decomposing nature of the rooms, it made the levels themselves a sort of character.
The puzzles were challenging but not overly so...the solutions are often very simple, and you'll usually hate yourself for not seeing it earlier
Great voice acting job by the 3 main speaking roles.
There are some that call me...morningstaru?

That's not how I've been playing it...ex; using the leash to slam-dunk bosses works well, especially in the maps where there are two or more of them at the same time, and is a lot faster than the sniper round.

Have they updated the multiplayer at all? I didn't like the mode type when I played it, but that was when the game first came out.

Not that I'm aware of, but I don't do a lot of MP in general (I have played some of the MP maps solo, tho). There are a couple of new DLC maps available...those may have included some code-tweaking.

is utterly adorable. I am so excited for Sonic Generations:

Yes, I still get a kick out of seeing Green Hill after 20 years, and this new HD incarnation looks lovely.

This is the only game Not featuring zombies coming out this year that I give a toss about.
People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey... stuff.

That was pretty awesome. lol at hitting the spikes after going through all that though.

The last one I played was Sonic Adventure 2, which had its ups and downs...all of the other next-gen sonics look like crap though this might be enjoyable.
