the transistor is a 2n5089. you can also use a 2n5088 same thing.
223 first two digits are the value. the 3 indicates moving the decimal 3 places to the left, so 223 = 0.022uf or 22n
104 is .1uf
capacitor codes

resistor color codes have the gold or silver last. that should make it easier to use the chart.

the brown black green is 1m
I dont know if its even possible to have 3 bands on a resistor. its 4 bands. still dont know what the electrolytic cap is but we can guess. this circuit is pretty much figured out. breadboard it to find the missing values. the electrolytic cap will have it written as 1uF or 0.1uF etc..

The electrolytic is 10uF
So does this look like anything in particular or do we think it's an original circuit?

I dont know what the tone is, maybe 5k or 10k. you could probably plug the values in a rc filter calculator on the web and see if you can get anything in the 400hz - 8k range. thats a huge range but you know that if it says 4hz or 200khz then its totally out of range. process of elimination to find if the tone is 1k up to 500k. could be anything. the input pot is 100k, the output is either 100k or 500k. I still dont know what it is but I'm not sure I want to post it all over the internet to find out. just ask letsgocoyote and maybe he will tell you.

I was just looking at the rangemaster. its like you could find a range master in there with fixed gain. then throw a volume in front. a tone knob on the output, and another volume on the output. I'm pretty sure the electro makes the gain dependent on what note your playing. like on the range master you gain increases as you play higher notes. all the values on the mellowtone were changed to be less of a treble booster. you definitely got some nice mojo. it would take a while to tweak and test everything in there. thats the kind of pedal you breadboard and try things till you like it. it might not be right for everyone.

cool.
btw you are looking at the resistors backwards.
should read brown black green, gold
1 meg plus or minus 5% (gold stripe)
