I've whittled down my pedals to just a handful that I use all the time. Most of those pedals are "keeper pedals"......

In all fairness, I've only ever gotten rid of two pedals: a fuzz war and a visual sound double trouble. So I guess the rest of the lot are all keepers considering I see no need in selling them.

micro pog. I'll only replace it if a smaller one comes along.

My big-box Rat RI is a keeper, though maybe not in absolute terms. I could sell it, I guess, but I would need to have another Rat that's at least as good. I'm hooked on the things it's great at, and there is so much else it's good at that I will always want one around. (I'm so boring -- I say Rat every time one of these threads comes around.

Even if I get a better, fancier, gives-me-massages-with-happy-endings flanger, I'm keeping my Guyatone FL-3 Micro Flanger. It sounds great, is flexible, and is tiny enough to squeeze in for another choice on hand.

I fear being premature in saying my recently purchased Yamaha Magicstomp, but I figure that no matter what other gear I add, there will always be some use for it (some algorithm, some place in a set up it fits, whatever) that makes it worth holding on to it.

I'm sure there's more pedals that when absolutely forced to, I wouldn't be able to part with them, but off the top of my head, these are an automatic "fuck no" when it comes to selling them.

DMM. Big Spider. Headrush e2.

The last two hold sentimental value. DMM just sounds beautiful.

Creepy Fingers Tone Machine, because I'll never be able to afford anything CF ever again, and I use it much too often anyhow.

MAMMOTHsound MAMMOTHboost, because I'm fairly certain that dude doesn't make pedals anymore, and I have no fucking clue what it actually is, except that it has a submini Russian tube inside. And, it pushes my Sunn into the gnarliest, doomiest fuzzy tone that I just can't recreate. It's like getting the growl and hard edge from a SS Sunn but with this huge tube feel.

Everything else falls well under the "never say never" rule.

Well, for me there's a few pedals, but if I had to whittle it down to one pedal I'd never part with...

Sonic Crayon Vibrato.

E, I've said it a thousand times, but you make a damn good pedal. It's simple with three controls, it's responsive to what you play, and the speed and depth interplay with each other, so you can have a slow, subtle bend, or a huge, seasick wave. Plus it does darken the sound a bit, which is what I like to play with.
Do you like listening to homemade music? Me too. Why don't you try one of mine?
